No way that is a 10 year old bike v a 3 year old bike. Just hold on and sell your one. Try to make it look good as possible, search eBay get some cheap graphics, paint the frame (your one isn't ali I think) and clean teh heck out of it. You'd be better to sell your bike for 3k and have the cash!!

you could try $1 reserving your bike you`ll be suprised at how people can get carried away, i had 2 05 yz250s couple years ago one was real mint which i sold for $6K the other was an absolute dog the list of what was fuked was longer than what was good, i started it $1 and it got to $5300, the guy would have spent $700 of his own time scraping all the overspray of the paint job i gave it let alone the work to fix it mechanically

take all the plastics off and clean the whole bike with a toothbrush and a bucket of warm soapy water. then new graphics, take some photo's in good light and wack it up on trade me for $1 reserve... or take it round the dealers and see what they will give you for it.... as a trade in on another one of there bikes. or PM me with some pictures and i might just make you an offer on it as it is.
