    Got two-stroke 500?

    Has anyone seen this thread at rgv250.co.uk
    This guy is building an NSR500 in an rgv frame ?!!?
    No expense is being spared and they are doing some awesome things..
    I am most impressed by the moulds they are making of the fairings and remaking them from carbon fibre.. On the second to last page he has made a fully clearcoated carbon fuel tank - very impressive.. reckons more than 40 hours went into that alone
    If you Cant see all the pictures he is posting it is well worth joining up so you can, he is documenting the project well...
    He says its a 3 year build so far but is hoping to have it finished in feb 08..
    Interesting to see the next post.. Its gonna be his trackbike and he reckons he would sell his house before he would get rid of this..
    I understand, My personal favourite thing about the bike is that top triple clamp, sexy! Imagine looking down on that thing next to your carbon tank and just thinking THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS! !!
    Also, correct me if im wrong but is that the same dash as Stoners bike ??
    He is looking for a 1 to 1 power ratio ie - 120horsepower, 120kg bike
    There are other threads of 100-110hp rgv's boasting about how they beat r1's and gixas on the straights at the track
    I want to build an rs500 in a few years with lots of carbon bits like that..

    Oh yea. did I mention this bike is being built in Auckland ?
    I see the guy also has a kiwibiker account but very few posts...

    The best gp replica I have seen to date
    Confident the aprilia rsv4, IS the one

    Yeah embarrassingly the thread I started on the RGV site is largely the same as my thread on KB but some more detail for the audience. For some reason I decided to call it the David Attenborough thread as there are Cheetah parts being used. Seemed funny the first time, I cringe from then on.

    Jared's bike looks good. Ha used to race YZF750 so he's a good bloke in my book. His is unfetted by being a track only bike, mine is more sensibly tuned & toad bike adorned. Mine could easily be tuned to 120hp, but I want roadbike reliability & pump gas.
    Don't you look at my accountant.
    He's the only one I've got.

    What would that glossy looking matte black paint scheme be there, gentlemen?
    Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

    i bet he has a stack of boxes of tissues to wipe up all his mates dribble and semen when they see that thing, i think it looks all kinds of bad ass with only the tail fairing and none on the front, imagine that on the street, hard on your wrists but christ, you could create all kinds of noisy, smoky, sweet smelling havoc

    Is that an NS400R motor in there (or used to be a 400) ?

    That would be Satin Black.

    Had my R1 Streetfighter painted in that...comes out VERY nice (and doesn't have the problem of stains like matt black does).

    Thanks for the comments dudes, to answer some of your questions;

    Blackshear, the tail on the bike is the plug we made to create the mould, we are making the carbon/kevlar self supporting seat unit in the next few weekends.

    Nudemetalz yes it started life as an ns400, check this thread for more detail;

    Stunning bike. I also put a friend onto this and he mentioned he'd seen two over at Motorworld Albany before they closed. I'm not after another bike at present but it was hard not pressing the bid button. There is just something about a two stroke.
