All this RAIN! It's all my fault!

The day I bought my new R1 about 7 weeks ago it started raining. As I signed the very contract, it started. The monent I picked it up from the dealers there was rain squall right above me. Every day since that, as soon as I have swung a leg over with a view to enjoying the summer on my new bike it has rained. There can be no doubt it is all my fault.

So a big sorry to all you guys.

Hmmm did Palmy, Welly, Mast, Woodyville, Palmy on the gasaxe 750 yesterday no bother. Not a drop. It was nice to spending a day in the garage today attending to maintenance chores.

Woohoo, someone else to take the blame (sorry mate lol) they used to blame me when it was raining, simply because i turned up and it just "happened" to rain as well..... personally i think it was just because it was winter

Maybe R1S stands for Rain 'n Showers Or it could be that the amount of rain one is subjected to is proportional to the amount ot fairing one's m/c has.

It's like winter all over again!!

Mrs H and I were awake bright and early this morning. It was nice and calm, not too hot or cold, high overcast. My beloved Mrs H rolls over to my side of the bed and whispers in my ear "Would you like to go to Palmerston North for some breakfast?"

With a proposition like that, what's a boy to do but bound out of bed, unwrap the bikes, bound back inside, put some clothes on...

To cut a (potentially) long story shorter, the ride up the coast was magic -- apart from two old dear in a Corolla tootling along the "Killer Highway™" at 70km AND the 100km limit bit from Paekakariki to McKays Crossing... Needless to say they got well and truly overtaken shortly afterwards!

A few spits and looming signs to the north had us off and donning our wets at Te Horo. The day deteriorated from that point onwards. Heavy cold showers for most of the way from Tatum Park through Shannon to Palmerston North.

Cuba Cafe does a great breakfast!

We didn't go to ANZA (for a change). Just our luck that this would have been the day that the guy who is superglued to the ground behind the counter would have gone for a walk...

The weather homewards brightened from Bainesse and we had a great run on our "shortcut" through behind Foxton.

From Levin it looked as though the rain was all gone. Waikanae had different ideas and from that point onwards it was positively Antarctic!

Home safe and sound in time to pack Mrs H off to work. I am now clutching a heater to my bosom in an effort to keep warm. It don't half make typing tricky...

Look I don't know what you lot are talking about. i've just had the best two days of riding in the last three months.

It's got nothing ot do with the fact that I just got my bike back, honest
Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.
