I've tested both, I'm a Triumph guy - and i'd be happy with either a Rocket 3 OR A Street Rod. (A v-rod does not have adequate cornering clearance for moi)

The fact that the rocket is 5 grand cheaper would be the decider.

The rockets engine is fantastic, I think better than the HD - which is excellent too. The street rod handles and brakes better.

Either would make me vewy vewy happy.

Hmm, as long as the view over the handle-bars looks good who cares about the rest when you're riding??

    Bullshit.

    It's $3510 cheaper.

Fair enough - what I was thinking was - 5k for me.
I would take the Rocket pretty much stock (grab rail) and would have to customise a Street rod a little. Bars, seat, finish that ugly rubber hose, better mirrors, footpegs etc.

Rode both before deciding... chose the V-rod

    sweeps the corners more easily
    brakes better
    lower CofG
smoother pickup (in first to 100k no problem)

    and

easier to customize paint and parts

would not say 'no' to a Rocket if it was free tho'....

With a million I'd be on the phone to Mr Yoshimura to see if he had a spare AMA Gixxer he could part with.

VRod vs Rocket, that's hardly a choice now boys.

Gixxers are really nice but at my age the wrists and knees just cannot hack it!

    Walkout and buy a car?

Whats the use having a bike that wont go round corners at a decent rate of knots?

Naaah I'm happy with the T-sport and V-rod.
Anyway.. what was that sig again? "There are those that lead, those that follow, and those that crash halfway around the corner" I'm happy enough in Group 2, don't need to join either Group 1 or Group 3...

Personally, I’d be forced to go to another shop.

If I was looking for a cruiser I'd be keen on testing out a Kawasaki VN2000, although I imagine my short stature and low weight wouldn’t be the best of combinations with these hefty machines.

Oh know, is it possible… am I hijacking this thread???

P.S. is that the only place they could mount the number plate?!

Rocket any day. I've never ridden either, but the reviews of the Rocket have been superb.

Although I'd have neither as my primary bike. Not yet anyway. But the V Rod is also a v sexy beast IMO.
