We have to realise too that we are a very small minority of road users and should be looking for ways to draw strength from all who ride two wheels. I give not a fuck whether others ride Harleys, sports bikes or scooters. As long as it's got two wheels it's OK with me and will be cheerily waved at!!
I agree entirely Hitcher... I wave at cheerily (or nod) at every biker I come across (although I get strange looks as I sometimes wave to them from my car .... forgetting that I am not on my bike).

I was just commenting to someone yesterday that I had ridden up to Palmerston Nth and back for a day ride, and I saw HEAPS and HEAPS of bikes on both legs of the journey who ignored my wave ... (probably only about 6 riders waved back) .

I have found that when I rode the Suzuki (when I could get it on the road!!!) generally, most riders (including HD riders but excluding big sports bikes), waved back.

When I was riding the Honda, generally most riders (excluding HD riders), waved back.

Now I am riding the Ducati and it seems as though only other Italian bike riders or people I know wave back weird eh!?

    My Choice?

Me? don't give a toss, they're all o.k., just prefer Harleys, a shrink would say "just because it winds up all the "other brand" owners

Yea I really wouldn't mind riding a Harley & owning one if it suits - as well
    as owning a sports bike

    Cool a bike's a bike.

A bike's a bike.... and I can only ride certain bikes due to duck's disease... yep I'm a short arse. So I am kinda stuck with owning my baby.

Sure, I am sure that we would all love to own a better bike... but then we can only get what we can afford.

You lot obviously haven't been around long enough - some of us have had our favorite bikes disapear off the face of the earth...given time you will be telling the young kids how much you used to like Hondas, they were better than all the rest...wonder where they all went?

You'll get it in the end,but we have to put up with it in the meantime.

    Beats me!
    And it happens so often.
If only everyone had a Kawasaki for there first bike, then the age old question would be put to rest. We would all know the Truth, and be free from the oppression of "mine is better than yours" isum.

I'm bias towards Suzuki. Build quality maybe little below honda, but those engines, gearboxes rock.

Buying a GSXR11 next year as a second bike, prefibly air cooled, hopefully 91 model.
