Oh was that not what you meant?

    Context seems so important...

    Serves you right

Yes, there is a real neat shortcut. Turn right towards Wairu and then left, which is sign posted Mairangi Bay. There is then a left that brings you out so you can go straight into shopping Centre. Try http://maps.google.com - much better and up to date than Garmin Navman etc.

It's quicker to get there via SH17 and Mercari Way, even on my Crap-o-cycle.
So that WAS your suzuki in the first post! When did you get that??

Met a pommy tourist on a rental bike in the SI last year. His satnav took him over the Marlborough Sounds back roads and along some Central Otago dead end farm tracks. He had given up on it and was navigating from one of those tourist attraction maps.

    Kaching. That sounds about right.

Or maybe, "well, he's showing off, but I'll go this way because I need to get to the mall, I wonder where he's going?".

I bet if it was the same guy, he probably would'a had a great laugh at arriving the same time as you...
Who, me? I just wander from thread to thread.

Giving someone "The learn" when you have more cubes and ponies is fucken lame.

Giving someone "The learn" when you have the power disadvantage is the road to earning respect.

The dude could've headed down Wairau, onto the m/way at Tristram, gone up past Greville and exited into the mall at Bush rd...
