    Approved vehicle standards for vacuum brake hoses

    2.5(4) A vacuum brake hose must comply...with a version of an approved vehicle standard in 2.5(5), or with the original equipment specifications of the vehicle manufacturer.

    2.5(5) Approved vehicle standards for vacuum brake hoses are:

    (d) Society of Automotive Engineers, SAE J1403 (vacuum brake hose);

    I tellya, Cajun - this was probably the best money I spent on the VTR - really improved the feel of the brakes, got rid of all the mushy feeling that VTR's brakes tend to have. I like to have very little movement in the lever, and brake with only two fingers.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    Um,that's for vacuum brakes - is this another inovation from those sneaky Japanese? They have to meet a standard,the standard has to be marked on the hose - no question...but you may get some guys letting you through on a grandfather clause (it's alway had them).Actualy not too silly a thing to do,I've done it before - let a lowered car through when the rules changed and he would of had to toss his expensive suspension that was previously legal,a couple of years later the rulles change and he's legal again.

    It's a very good idea, but...ummm... girlies don't usually like "techno toys" for presents. :confused2 Unless you're buying something personal (perfume, clothes, jewellery, etc.) as well as the braided lines.
    The vifferbabe's getting half of a VifFerraRi for Christmas.
    She told me so (when I was asking whether she'd like a tinted visor for her Raid).

    So, on the face of it, I don't have to get her anything, but this could well be one of those Catch-22 situations, so I might have to get a box of chocolates, or some bling-bling . Insurance, y'know.

    Well we just brought a house, and also about 2 months ago we brought a rather expensive leather lounge suite, and we dicided then that was sorta out xmas present. But i wanna do a few things to her bike, so she will ride it a bit more, we are tossing the idea up of doing a rather large trip, in the next year or so, so she is gonna have to get ride fit, and have everything setup well
