    BADD Updates

Heyas Just a quick update on BADD happenings

Few things going down at BADD headquarters...

    1. The Trailer is currently being logo'ed still and H.O.G in Palmy have requested to one of the BADD delegates down that way that the Trailer makes an appearance at one of their meetings. I cant do much until the inquest happens, I cant go out without the actual facts, wouldnt want to get sued! So I given permission for that to happen.

    2. The fundraiser tees signed by 43 Legends (for actual list of names see badd.co.nz - events page)

    Article at Motorcycle Trader..

    http://www.motorcycletrader.co.nz/Ar....aspx?item=402

in different Genres of Motorcycle Racing, all supporting BADD in our commitment to education and research into recidivist and drink driving in general, hopefully these riders will inspire the up and coming generation to make wiser decisions than what our generations have.
As most of you will know this stems from humble beginnings - grassroots stuff and we would like to stay that way.

The fundraising money is required to go towards a BADD banner and/or storage for the Trailer, if anything left goes to ongoing website costs and maintenance, and if theres anything beyond that...it will go towards the setting up of the BADD Run, which since theres a lull in action with the Trailer until the inquest, I figure the Run may have a slight election year bandwagon taint to it...

And on that note - 17 April my co-campaigner and I are heading into a meeting with Maurice Williamson and then April 19/20 I have been invited to take part in Sensible Sentencings Victims conference. We each get a chance to submit questions that will be balloted and then the appearing MP's get a week to research the answers. Mps that have confirmed they will be there are Annette King and John Key, and there are more to come..
I have 10 questions, they are tricky and Im not holding my breath that they'll be addressed, but its worth a crack nige...dont know if you dont try..

I wont be submitting the questions either here, or on my site. There needs to be an element of surprise.
However I will place them on my site after the conference paired with a report as to how we think the conference went.
I have been requested to put together the press release for Crossroads after the conference...that will also tell the story!

So the update wasnt as quick as what I thought it would be. My Apologies.
I continue to thank you all for your support.
    Cheers

    Cheers

    Thankyou mate!!

I could do with all the luck I can get..this stuff is really not my forte, but Im not afraid, just yet another character building process..opportunities keep presenting themselves and if I dont take them, in the ways that they're coming, I would feel as if I didnt give any of this a bloody good go.

Will most definately let you all know how it goes..

    Thanks again bud

The trailer... ya know, drunks will see it but how many will change their ways? once the trailer is a goer I reckon a march/ride (and I aint into that sorta shit) into the beehive is whats needed. I mean look at the big pic.. its the farking GVT that needs to pull its head in, people in the drunk drivers position should be locked up, end of story... but no they can still drink and they can still drive, IMHO it starts with the GVT.
    cheers DD

Cheers Her_B4, Looking at your sigy line we may even cross paths down there..

Yea Dangerous, your right. The Trailer will only affect people who care and have things to loose, it wont reach the people it should.

Its not something I will ever be able to gauge, but I know Ive made a difference... i'll never know how much or how little.

I feel by sharing this story it may have saved many lives and even if Ive only saved one life Im happy.

I feel the bullshittedness (is there such a word?) of that day and the circumstances would piss anyone off left behind.
Im just lucky enough to have the means and ability and the strength (or stupidity) to crank it...
I should've gone that day like I always did, but I didnt, so Im left to pass their story on.

The thing that spurs this on is that I will never be as afraid and horrified as I was that day and the time directly after. My world was smashed to pieces in an instant.

And As Lemans's line says :Feel the fear and do it anyway! - I have felt the fear, I still feel the fear and Im doin it anyway.
    Thanks everyone
