    Dainese/Joe Rocket Info

Does anybody know whether there is an NZ importer for either Dainese or Joe Rocket products?

I'm looking for a trick one piece but don't want to take the risk of buying a size that doesn't fit.

I have looked around for joe rocket stuff before, but couldn't find anything. Stroud is sponsored by them, so maybe he/his race team could help you out...

So, what about the Spidi suit? If you order dianese they take all you measurements and send you a perfect fit.(Dianese Belgium) One of my friends got one and it fits like a glove. They even ask you if you want it snug or loose fitting. His fit him better than my alpine stars fit me, and I bought mine locally. Wish I went for it at the end..cheaper too. Also, if you want to order and have fitted a spidi..you can get their top line NGK suit for $600US on e-bay...

Another vote here for Frans at Bimoto in Belgium (www.bimoto.be) for Dainese gear. He really is a top guy and will take so many measurements from you that you can be 99% sure it'll fit fine. I've bought tons of gear off him over the years as have others I know and none of us have been given the wrong size yet. Shipping time is usually less than 1 week.

Also www.market2ruote.it in Italy is another good site. A friend bought a clearance T-Age one piece suit from them and had it landed here for under $2000 with GST and everything else paid. It looks awesome.

It's important to get them to mark the shipment as protective gear for motorcycle racing or you could end up paying duty as well.

Remember to be careful of fake gear on trademe. A while ago a trader was listing Dainese "Rossi" gloves (no such model). I queried him about it and he claimed they were a new 2006 model that he got from a special contact in the factory but they looked like the cheesiest fakes I have ever seen. He also had a ton of "Dainese" jackets which were just some cheap rip off with a Dainese emblem sewn on. The best thing about buying from overseas is that they have regular quit stock sales where you can get some awesome bargains and styles, sizes and colours that no local distributor would ever be able to carry.

It was mentioned above that Jaison at Motostyle (www.motostyle.co.nz) was going to be bringing them in...I talked to him a couple of days ago, and he said that they aren't far off now. Drop him an email (address is on that site), and I'm sure he'll let you know how far away they are.

I've brought a couple of Joe Rocket jackets and some pants from http://www.ridegear.com but you need to know someone in the US to mail the stuff too and get them to forward it on. They accept international credit cards but they don't post outside the US.
Even with the exchange rate it was alot cheaper than what's being put up on trademe.

    Hope that helps.

it looks like thats what i will be doing also.

there are tonnes of joe rocket dealers listed on the joe rocket site and a full suit + some other stuff will most likely only cost 1500ish NZD to get here so might be the go huh.

    thanks for your input.
