I rode the Thames - Tairua section on Friday on my pushie and the difference between the bikers (passing with loads of room to spare, good sensible lines through corners) and the boi racers (tailgating, crossing the center line, passengers leaning out of windows) couldn't have been more obvious.

Hey , and thanks to the Harleys going the other way that waved as I was struggling up the hill and the sprotsbiker that gave me the thumbs-up as he passed me as I was touching 80k's down the other side...

    It happens already.
Often in the wee small hours when people are snoring in their beds.
First & last time I was involved in a mass cage run 'round the loop a bloke in his 50's managed to flip his supercharged MX5, in a 120km/h blind right hander over crest, and fold the 'A' pillars flat. He walked away laughing. THough if he'd hit an oncoming vehicle he'd have been a murderer.
A motorcyclist would have most likely died or been seriously fucked up in the same circumstance.

It would give us riders another thing to blame other than ourselves in the case of a crash.

Personally I believe there is a time and a place for everything. I have seen some outright dumb shit been done on bikes over the years. Doesn't worry me until the innocent road users get caught up in it all.

I'd feel pretty good about the chance of scoring a new dEvo or Rex in a pink slip race. Although I'd prefer a nice GTR Skyline.

Might even be moved to chuck a new pair of slicks on the race bike for the occasion.

Like I said in a PM to Drew, I tend to call a spade a "fucking spade" - and there's a few "fucking spades" in this thread already.

Saw a guy loaded to gunwhales once on a bike pedalling in low gear up a looong hill, said to him grab a hold of my bike(XR200),went up the hill at 30km or so behind a truck and trailer.
Considering he was trying to get to a back packers lodge 15km in the country and took a wrong turn he was happy,I followed him to his b/p giving him a drag up a few more hills, clocked him at 65km down a couple though.
