Um, probably because the truck was doing 95km/h (sped up from the 90km/h it was doing before it hit the passing lane) and the cars were obeying the speed limit and crawling passed the truck at 103km/h - using the entire length of the passing lane for just two or three cars to overtake the truck.

Not that it excuses what the genius you described was up to, but there might just be a reason why frustration breaks out on passing lanes....

What's the big problem with Bluebirds? You're all a pack of arseholes!

For the record: I'm over racing on the road, you can't go fast.

dont knok the lowley nissans! some useless information

    nissan blue bird success stories???

Just the local track that might interest you all BATH HURST!

    James Hardie 1000 1982 8th overall 1st class B
James Hardie 1000 1984 George fury driver POLE POSITION NEXT TO BROCKS COMMODOR!
the fastest pole position time on the old bathurst circit belongs to.......
    Yeap!
George Fury driving a NISSAN BLUEBIRD 910T 2 min 13.853 seconds
    Nissan GT-R was 2 min 12.62 seconds,
Presant lap record! 2:07.0908 Mark Winterbottom
So that was not a slow lap by even todays standards!

Oran Park Endurance race 1983 WINNER,Nissan Bluebird!!
    second was who cares!

    As an interesting foot note
the record for the entire race was......
Mark Skaife partnered the great Jim Richards to victory in six hours 19 minutes 14.80 seconds in 1991 in the fastest race of all time.

The all-star duo's best lap time in their Nissan GT-R was two minutes 12.62 seconds, which is about four seconds slower than the times around Mount Panorama

Now the european and american circits were also dominated by the bluebird in those same years
so dont rubbish the lowley bluebird..in its class it was the best of its breed
Corro loop would be a walk in the park for George Furys 910T

Nuthin wrong with the old datsun/nissan,especially the 1200 SSS and later 120Y SSS,mine 1973 and 1979? had dyno sheets of just over 100hp at rear wheel, and both stock standard, only probs was the rust in em.Wanted to hook up a 5 sp but the celica ones were to damn expensive, put twin airfilters similar to K&N on the dellortos as only mod.

Boy-racers are easier to hit because they travel in convoys of many cars, so there's time to hear the racing engines, run outside, find a pinecone, and get a good invisible spot behind the hedge.
You just hiff the cone over the hedge and it falls directly down onto the car, the boy-racers think it has just fallen from the tree.

that is funny, had me in fits
