HA!! Americans are never afraid to beat on things smaller than them (or ones that they perceive to be). That's why they get so wound about about having restrictions placed on them... "Nobody's going to interfere with MY rights...." (though I can interfere with theirs quite happily)

It may help, but I do intense political satire, so bear that in mind when I say something generic about US foreign policy and we'll be all good
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

politics never interested me... though to fit in around America you need to know how to make fun of our President... Every election we pick a bigger idiot than the previous year just so we will have things to bitch about.

Just a word about Colapop... It's hard to find anyone who's actually bigger than him. He has a rep on KB for being the "King of Hugs". Apparently, and I can't speak from personal experience, so going by reputation, a hug from Colapop means that you'll never view a hug from anyone else as a real hug anymore...

Aww Gawsh! Ya might jus' be makin' me blush some... There are plenty bigger than me round here (Big Dog, NZ Sarge Mcduck5n ManDownUnder (Hehe)), plenty with larger personalities (DMNTD... umm...) and plenty with more 'issues (Skidmark, Disco (reads as Desperate) Dan, Renegade Mastur)...

I suppose there just aren't as many who as charming as I...

Don't worry EdB I gots one for you ... just waiting...

xevor - Come on down. If you can last in Iraq (ALL Merkins have been there haven't they - rode roughshod over the locals rights and shit on their flag...) then you'll survive here. All you'll have to do is actually learn how to ride a bike. We have corners, bends, twisties and bits of road that aren't straight even! We don't have a G Dubya but we do have pretty fckn useless politicians all the same...

Don't forget NZ will be heading for Winter around that time. (not that winter is bad but you will get some rain)

A newbie rider, riding on the opposite side of the road (than they are used to) in the wet.

    Enjoy your stay.

I figured a NZ winter will be better than an Arizona summer (it gets to be 123f... I think that is 56 celsius).. but the other side of the road will make it interesting..

If you are able to get an American Motorcycle licence, it would probably be a good thing to do before you leave? Then you may not have do do your licence in New Zealand. A number of licences from many countries are recognised here.

I am sure that thru riding you will meet tonnes of people in NZ.

Not anymore. Every state now has the graduated licence system. So getting it here or there makes no difference.

If asked that last year I would have said no, however seeing the choices we have I think we will succeed. Best to escape the country before it happens

Good stuff, when you get over drop us a PM and like Hubba Gubba said, we can sully your untouched American pysche with the madness that is in the land of the long white cloud!

And when you get your bike, you can ride with me to places everywhere! A nice little pootle ... oh yes... Don't forget to bring a stash of Reese pieces and Hostess devils chocolate cupcakes!
