Starting to think the bike needs to be parked in the living room once I get there, it's only worth $5k.

Bad news Dan, time for a ZX12?!?
Never had any bad stuff happen like getting things nicked in 10 years living out west... I move to the shore... dropkicks.

Oh I have great plans for next bike, but lots of work to do first!

I am hoping it is returned safe and well though. Save a lot of hassle.

Mate I'll get all the lads on Section 3 North Shore Police Centre to keep a very close eye out for your bike and if I find the maggot I'll make sure he knows he has sinned big time, ie: I will make sure he goes to court and does not get a half arsed slap on the hand only.
    SHIT whats that noise.

Mate that sucks. Will keep an eye out etc. There are not that many ZX11s in the country. We got it as the ZZR1100. So at least it is a bit more traceable if they do find it (soon).

    Who are you with?
I'm insured with Swann. Cheapest at the time but when things like this happen you get what you pay for.

Hope your payout is quicker - if it is I'd like to know who you're insured with. Maybe I could give them a call for the next bike. Cheers.

Cheers everyone for the support - reading all your well wishing comments has been really helpful.

I feel like I have lost an arm or a leg - my manager at work thought I was crazy when I joked about bereavement leave...

Our bikes really do become a part of us - non-bikers really cannot understand that.

Thanks again everyone - I will keep you all posted on any developments.

Believe me, if I catch the fucker I will be taking a severed hand down to the trophy shop to get mounted.

I have a few options if my baby is not returned - I will be riding again soon and the "which bike" thread will hopefully not be far away...

Sorry to hear about your bike.....Hope it gets located, and the thief punished...

Is not a nice feeling at all.. While I was living in Aucks, my Clubsport V8 was stolen from me. I was literally sick to my stomach for about a week. Felt totally violated. Good thing was I got it back around 9 months later, and the original offender got some jail time.... Vehicle was found cause he ran a red light and was stopped by the police, who did a check...dodgy plates, and long story short, got the car back and he got a cell mate...

So fingers crossed your bike reappears at some stage.......

We all look up and identify the bikes we see on the road and give 'the nod'.

With this number of open eyes on the case, if the bike is out and about with whatever No. Plate it now has, it will get spotted.

My new bike will have one of those new remote paging alarms and a remote locator. May be a false sense of security, but with out any sense of security I just wouldn't risk having an expensive bike.

DD we all want you to get your bike back. Good luck.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I'm pretty sure I saw this bike on Thursday afternoon northbound on the southern at about 2pm exiting at Papatoetoe, with a pillion. I remember registration because it's similar to my mates ZX12R with the 8 and the U (his is double U). In which case it's in use on the road and might well get picked up (especially given the way it was being ridden).

Didn't you used to live in Manurewa?

Got your new bike yet Dan? And will it fill the void in your heart and soul?
