    Where is this Katana located?

i was offered this Katana a couple years ago on trade me ,I didn't have the funds then.
I belive it is located in the North Shore in Auckland in a warehouse or on display in a jetski shop, can any body help with its wareabouts .
I belive the guys name is Chris and he's a SBK or AMA tech in the states , he brought this back with him from the US with some other tricked up bikes , I belive this was built for big HP shot out in the US , if anybody can help I'd be greatfull, as the number i have is no longer active, his brother may have it ???? as i know he's has a shead full of toys in Auckland with some one.
    thanks

Wheels are Astrolites. Seat & everything being the same grey looks ghey & it just seems a shame to wreck a bike like that for a few seconds of straight-line riding (& seemingly very little stopping).

Katanas are best left original and unmolested, esp SXZ's !!!!

    Amen to that!

    Though a 180hp beast
like this that keeps it's lines works well

Be interesting to know what the lost Kat did in times down the quarter though

That Kat you just pictured, Bill, is rather nice. Looks like it could have been a continuing evolution that the factory might have done.

Now that I would be happy with. My SZ was an ex proddie race 750 & was quite potent enough for a skinny 19yr old (that can't have been more than 4 or 5 yrs ago can it? erm . . . when was Blue Monday released? The first time. . .). But by the time I had sold it it was apparent that it could have done with some more chassis stiffness. 'Course better suspension would have helped mask that.

I always wonder whether your one is my Father's old one.
There weren't that many wire wheelers here in NZ.

    Nice photo by the way.
