When I first got my last AGV, the buckle design was different to the previous one, and for the first few months I had problems with it not fastening properly, and popping undone.

Part of the D-rings' usability hinges on the method used to fasten the loose strap. Mine has velcro with very small hooks (so it doesn't stick to everything) and it's very easy to secure: I just stuff the end in under the padding on the lefthand side of the helmet, where the other side of the velcro is on the other strap. My wife's Shoei Raid has a stupid metal clip that attaches to the D-ring, and it's almost impossible to use.
Can anyone who has a similar helmet or system tell me if they get easier to use as they wear in? If they don', I'm going to take the clip off and put velcro on it.
Cant you just cut the excess strap off and melt the end with a lighter ?
Ive run out of fucks to give

My CL-14 as a small elastic loop on the same thing as the D's, I then tuck the excess strap through the bad and back again, works well.
