    What can I get for $5500 - $6000?

So, got my full license, sold my 250, but have only $5,500 to 6,000 (at a stretch) to spend. Like the SV650's but have yet to see one for this money. Any help? Would need to hold its value reasonably well as i'd like to upgrade in 12 months. Help appriciated.

You could probably get my old R6 for $6k, it has 50,000km or so on it, and is in pretty good nic.

i think the guy that owns it is on here as merwood.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Dam I was going to suggest that Laverda 650, Nice bikes need to be ridden like a two stroke 250, Top quality components, A nice piece of kit and as a fun weekend bike could be good fun. But they need to be ragged to work properly

They have a real bad rep engine relability wise. Good handling package though.

Believe it or not a lot of folk prefer the older styling. It's a lot sleeker and more streamlined than the post '98 models.

yea that is true ,is the exact same engine as mine ,Alot of fellow teapot owners have put the oil cooled Bandit 1200 engines in them (straight swap) ,bah those teapots ,even with the bandit engine swaps, just don't really appeal to me at all

You can get a nice VFR400 at that price. They're as quick as a SV650
