    Why can't bikes be included?

The government recognised the large numbers but decided not to officially recognise Jedi as a religion because it was clearly a big joke.
reread my original post - its wasnt very clear.

The "Jedi thing" was based on the idea if enough people wrote it down then it would be on the form as a 'tick box' (or whatever) for the following census.

The fact that "Statistics New Zealand treated Jedi responses as "Answer understood, but will not be counted". (according to your link) shows that they didnt care.

Thus whilst people wrote it down it didnt deliver what they were saying would happen - the whole "if enough people write it down it will be come a listed religion" comments was a urban myth - an argument supported by your link.

Because its a CAR rally. Thats what the organiser's and sponsors wanted. Thats what they paid for. Thats what they got.

Just because we like bikes - dosnt mean that they do.

It wasn't hearsay. Just because the census decided to discount (or not care) doesn't render it non-applicable. Think people have the right to decide whether they are Jedi's or not.

Fair enough. Was just wondering why bikes couldn't be included in it if people paid for it as well.

You could follow me (at least untill you get bored, then you could give me the learn). Course it may take more than 120 hrs.
