    Ute 'n' Vans

Aye, there's one of those around Otaki which I've seen pulling over unsuspecting cagers from time to time. Also a red and blue Mitsubishi van that I quite often see parked at Pukerua Bay or just past McKays Crossing. :sly:

I got pulled over by an unmarked silver Holden ute in the Auckland CBD...

But so far the most bizarre unmarked police car that I have seen is a huge dark blue late model Ford F350 - I saw it cruising down Queen St in traffic - two cops in dark blue overalls driving, with lights in the rear window. Big damn ute.

And where pray does 'dirty b'stards' fit in with that sentence? Was the ute a bit muddy?

My sentiments exactly! Which is part and parcel of why I got rid of the 600. For my type of riding and where I usually go, just wasn't utilising it's potential as much as I should have... analogous to trotting a thoroughbred around the paddock. (Plus I was getting that inner feeling that I'd be getting a major ticket soon). So it was either a)snot around and risk a ticket b)adhere and abuse the bike (read "not riding it to it's capability) or c) sell it and put myself out of my misery.
Chose c) and am now currently in limbo. :confused2

You chose (c)? The whole sorry saga is a cop-out!! Get a GN250 and put a 13 tooth front sprocket on it - that will give you acceleration without the top speed that worries you! "Abuse the bike" pah!, I feel it's not the bike that's being abused!!
