Not quite so bad on manfield, but tight go cart tracks and bucket circuits...watch out!
I want one even more now

Hopefully get/make a mid 90's KX graphics kit like my old 80 had. And a Cyan seat with Kawasaki in white with a purple/pink background. And a purple frame and wheels. It'll be rad!

[QUOTE=scott411;1503297]Darren Capill lead the Tarawera 100 in 1996 for 99.5 miles on a KX500, he ran out with about 200 metres to go, it was really wet that year, and he ran out in veiw of the finish, it was the most heart breaking thing i have ever seen, he ran to the pits, got gas, put it in, and still got 3rd, but was disquallifed for fueling outside the pits,

ive got a mag with some pic etc of that aparantly they were being clocked at over 160
ive always wnated to have a go on one

On manfield, my one pulled 16/39 gearing, I think that puts it around 190+. I passed a lot of F3 bikes down the back straight.

Shit, is it still quite peaky or a bit more toned out?

Did you see this machine on tm

Too me it seemed that no one could quite get the hang of modding a road bike frame to handle such a machine! No one got it just right but some bloody close?

Have you ridden one of these beasties?

I know jimmy used to have one, but never got it perfect.

I was reading an article a while back and some crazy guy got 3 old RM engines, and milled a case, fitted a Kawa gearbox and set the tripple 750 2 stroke up!! That would be freaking nuts.

You guys have rose tinted glasses on!

Having raced both KX500's and modern 450 4 strokes...I can tell you that a 500cc 2 stroke is a rattly pile of poo in comparison. Fun yes...but like a Dodo...they're dead.

Likewise, however this is combining the 2 and the respect you get when you start it in the pits yeah! haha
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses
