    Tairua enduro photos

Chris Birch won with Cam Smith 2nd & Jason Davies third. Mitchell Nield has a broken wrist & will be out for an easy 6 weeks ( making 2 broken wrists out of 8 odd northland riders as Mike J broke his to ).

It was a pretty short Novice section 42km & since it was so short I tried pushing my special stage times & fell off or stalled in every one ( 3 times in the last one, cost at least 70 seconds as a guy I'd caught up with beat me by that ).

    Anyways, onto the photo's

    1st Intermediate ( Don Needham )

    2nd Intermediate ( Van Major )

I'm pissed that I missed this event. Apparently the ride time was just over 5 hours on the bike.

Great pics and some good footage on Waitemata's web. Thanks Bill.

My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

Sweet video Bill, I actually fell off where that second video was, looked at the camera & got washed out in the rut to the left .

The first video, there was some talk of jumping straight into the creek from the log, but Chris Birch reckoned 75% potential for failure so they bailed on that idea.

    There's some more pic's at http://flickr.com/photos/takitimu/ta...ngamataenduro/

It was a long ride for the intermediates/experts, a bit tough on the TTR intermediates, pretty short for novice I did 42km, awesome riding though with a heap of new bulldozed track, I reckon you missed a real classic, major kudos to Lester & his helpers.

I'm scared that if I take up riding, I'll stop photographing

You guys make it hard not to, with all these trail rides you talk about.
