Well my bike wasn’t insured so I wont be buying a new one soon unfortunately …will have a break for a while.

I'd be homicidal if someone nicked my gixer.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

maybe someone will see someone they recognise....

Isn't it utterly pathetic that you have to do all the work!

If the cops do nab the guy , charge them a consultancy fee..............

    Dudes!

I really feel for you both. Truly!

But for bikes forth a few thousand $$'s maybe consider silent alarm and GPS?

There is a bunch of threads on here re it all.

Get that vid up and you find that all from here will watch it.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

How did you go with identifying the access control device used?

If you post a pic of the access control device or can describe it to me along with a description of the reader head, I'll tell you whether it has an archive.

Be aware, many access control systems have very limited buffers, therefore the card access information may be overwritten in a day, otherwise it could be years if it's a good commercial system. You need to get the building manager to extract the info ASAP.

How else can the gate be opened? Is there a Push Button or does it tie into an intercom system with a handset button release?

Also, Have you considered talking to the council? You'll generally get good assistance from them. There isn't too much traffic on the roads at that time, tracking the vehicle via the councils city wide camera network could be interesting.

I find it interesting that the cops don't consider this a top priority, If this is an organised ring then its operations could run into the millions. Even with that possibility the cops still don't seem to be proactive? Not a good look. Definately would make a good TV article.

How's the video footage coming along?

Are all bikers honest? This is the problem - nice bikes stolen, just like us KBs like to ride. The thieves have to sell the bike to someone and the buyer must know or suspect it is hot. Wot are the odds that someone on KB knows the thieves or future buyer. And how many kbs are riding hot bikes?

My point is - theives have to have a market to sell the bikes to and if all bike riders were honest there would be few bikes stolen.
    Game on.
