Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...
Actually it's not a bad idea to start with a low reserve. Yer it's bit of a risk but it tends to get the punters excited. Having said that, to do it on such a big $ item takes some coconuts for sure.

And this one - the guy put it in for $1 reserve! That's brave, this things gotta go for over $7000.One of my bikes is not moving with no bids because my reserve is too high, but I'm not prepard to take the risk of losing it for peanuts. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-19541271.htm

i just sold a fucked dishwasher on a $1 reserve to a guy in wellington for $75! he's paid the money for it too! the best $1 reserve i have seen was a twin engine aircraft that 'needed some work'. it ended up going for around $75000 (yes 3 zeros). $1 reserve can be surprising you know. also, if anyone is looking for a 2002 all black (canadian spec) hayabusa with 8000kms, i've been offered one (off trade me) for $14500. allllso, a friend of mine has a very tidy VFR800 with kerker pipe and power commander for sale for offers around $12k. i'll be posting it on the appropriate forum in the next day or so.
Shame people dont know how an auto bid works isnt it? Mr CBR600 bidder, no feedback, bang $800. Actually seems abit strange that auction, if you check Danchops other sales hes actually just sold a lower fairing for the same model bike, huh? Hey, if anyone from here wins it, I've got a race glass front mudgaurd in red to fit that F4, hmm, its not Zeds bike is it?
i'm suspicious that steve6791 knew the reserve - it's too big a jump. why not bid $400?
and that's not a bad price for a naked bandit

It's generally a smart way to sell, people go crazy over $1res and the like, I've seen stuff end up going for more than retail. People (generalisation) don't seem get hedging bets, and holding bids til the end, and increasing no more than absolutely necessary.

I saw it when it was 250 and thought it was too dodgy a sale. Then I thought it might be just the front fairing or something like that.
