These are not really mods but part replacements.
The back torque limiter clutch in the TL1000 has a few odd features so a 2006 GSXR1000 basket and internals was fitted to the TL drive gear after a bit of machining and a few custom parts.

It is a bit taller than the TL clutch so it was lucky i had already done a billet cover in 2005....

That TL has a few other things changed including 61mm Honda TB's with a modded TL1000R loom to drive the twin injectors per TB,self supporting seat...

I am glad somebody said some years ago, have a go yourself (at machining parts) so i had a lash.
The !@#$ up ratio has improved a little over the years.
.....but have to add, although i have probably modded every vehicle/motorcycle ever owned to date.
After buying a DR650 here in Australia and leaving it near stock, there is something to be said for just jumping on and riding the thing (without mucking around with it)![]()
Thats what i call mods, not sure if you just made my day or ruined it Les.![]()

Thanks alot mate always good to hear positive comments,
Have now had all the wire's shortened ect and the entire loom cleaned up. Looks a whole lot better now.
Have mounted the light again and is looking good and more solid.
Will be getting either some allow mounts or chromed when I have the time.
Also thinking about getting some of the alloy parts anodized gold, but if that I decide to do that all the Chrome will be going.
Next thing is to find some mirrors that are a bit different.
Cheers
for the feedback.

Have a look at the "anodised look" paint at repco.
It has to be put on properly using a special primer stuff to work but I was so surprised at how good it looked when sprayed on properly.
Could be a cheaper option than real anodising and you could even do it over mild steel...
