    Darmah bits

    Hi
Would anyone have a Darmah ignition switch that they would like to get rid of?
    Mine melted!

    Thanks

That would be very unusual an Italian bike with dodgy electrics

Hehe, I'm not sure what you're getting at.

    Anyway, problem solved.
I made up four short leads with bullet connector female plugs on them and soldered them into each of the original connector sockets on the switch block.

Did you disassemble the switch and check the contact poles, they fail and the engine is dead in the water, how do i know that.
Lucky for me it happened after a long ride and coming in the front gate,a new switch fixed it.

The thing actually melted on me in Germany and I had to pull it to bits outside a pub in Munich.
I sort of re-melted the body of it with some matches and managed to pull everything back into alignment.
I checked the poles then and it all seemed good and kept going all the way back to England and the IOM. Pulling something like that to bits in a pub car park is a worry, not knowing how many tiny springs and ballbearings are going to ping out!

I went for a ride yesterday though and noticed that I've got no lights now so there could be some problems there after all.
