Another perennial topic is one which begs the reinstatement of members banned for repeatedly objectionable behaviour. This usually comes from people either in or amused by the antics of those referred to in this thread's opening paragraph.

Another perennial topic is people announcing that they have had enough and are leaving, few of whom actually do in reality. These folks are generally miffed attention-seekers.

More disturbing is the gradual and unannounced departure of members who make a valued contribution to this site, provide experience and services on the site and in meat space, and who make a positive contribution to the New Zealand motorcycle community. They do this not because they expect recognition but because they are folk who like being able to help others.

It is reasonably easy to assemble a list of "valued and positive contributors" who are no longer here. Some have different reasons for leaving, but for many the toxic, abusive, ungrateful and selfish attitude of some members ultimately proved too much for them. Without fanfare these folk have just logged off and never returned.

The world has pitifully few of these people. If the world is anything like Kiwi Biker, then it doesn't deserve them. We are poorer for their absence.
I can't comprehend what you said, but i think I get the jist of it?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Exactly!! There IS life outside of KB... at least for some of us.

Many interesting souls have left either completely or for extended periods of time for no other reason than moderator mismanagement or perceived[or real] moderator targeting.

Upon closer inspection this is to be expected. Individuals are picked not for their superlative HR skills or vast management experience but for something far less tangible and murky-no wonder they sometimes fail!

The only members of KB able effect any meaningful change or to manage disputes are members of the KB moderator team. The finger should be pointed firmly in their collective direction before targeting the audience, who have little or no control.

Usually comments such as these would be met with cries of 'if you don't like it fook off'.......ironically avoidance of the 'fook off' routine is now being treated with contemptuous mirth.

Another one I miss on here is LB and like Paul I don't see her too often in person these days. She hasn't posted since 23/08/2006 and says she is too busy and also discovered how to sleep in instead of getting on here at 4 or 5am, so she fits the category of changed circumstances.

True, dat. The Mods Mantra is "Fit In or Fuck Off ". And now a mod is complaining that those who didn't "Fit in" have "Fucked Off". Which is certainly a loss , and I wish they had not. But I wille xtend that wish to al those who have 'fucked off' , or 'been fucked off", not just those who met with moderator approval.

Whne the site ethos is "Fit in or Fuck Off", it is not surprising that some of those who "fuck off' will be the more sensitive souls, while the tougher skinned will retort " Yeah, well fuck you , too"

You obviously don't realise, it is always the mods fault

Or individuals - but exactly who Hitcher is thinking about is not obvious as there could be more than one...

Also, there could be more than just one reason for people choosing to leave the site!

As for any other assembly, it is both unfortunate and sad when contributing members decides to call it quits... unfortunate and sad for the assembly, mind you.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

I'm a prick on here and a little smartass, but i have actually contributed alot of helpful information, i gave cowboyz some advice today on punishment for the son on the pc, serious help. and was returned abuse.

i also helped katman by pming him how to embed a you tube video...

with the opening line ....since i'm not a total cunt... and told him...

the reply PM ...no thank you nothing of a sory instead he quoted

"since i'm not a total cunt"

then finished with, i beg to differ.

i'm not suprised people leave not for the rude stuff on here i think as alot is quite funny, but that when genuine help is offered not even a simple courtesy thankyou... not even silence, no instead the person helping gets slung abuse.

    Gift horse...mouth, springs to mind.

    ahh well

You only just learning that? Doesn't just happen to 'other people'....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
