So by those satistics there are two ford motor cycles out there like to see what they look like and there is even a bike that runs on CNG tank configueation would be interesting wouldnt want to crash that one in a hurry walking away from it not a good %rate.
baut acording to that there was 37717 m/c and 10282 mopeds add to that 2558 moped and m/c sold this year when april edition of shift went to print which would allow for those bined gives you 50557 registered bikes/mopeds on the road give or take a few.

Opps forgot there are also 8 diesel bike 1 electric and 31 that run by other means wonder what they are???

Just went back and looked at those figures and they dont add up well cause it states that there are 96668 m/c that use petrol/diesel/cng/etc.etc and 26172 mopeds but that there is only a total of 50000 that are registered what happened to the other 70000 that are list as using the different fuels??

Barty5, can I please introduce you to a couple of my little friends; Mr Full Stop and Mr Comma. These guys are great for making what you're typing intelligible to normal people. They often hang around with Mr Capital Letter and Mr Coherent Sentence in the world-famous-but-not-in-NZ Grammar Café.

Look them up some time, and go say g'day.

the "ford" motorcycles are trikes, registered as bikes
the cng powered one is a chev powered trike.
the diesels are nealy all Royal Enfields, but I do know of at least one deisel trike

The Land Trasport thread is sometimes difficult tto troll through, I've extracted and analysed the figures since 2000 along with some interesting historical stats In this thread, see post #3
