I used Motorcycle Movers recently going in the other direction - Chch to Auckland, it cost about $500 to shift the bike.

They were good, no problems to report.

I used Biketranz to get a bike from Auckland to Chch. They were extremely slow and did a poor job of keeping me informed but were otherwise okay. They blamed a motorcycle show that was on in Auckland for the long delay and said it wasn't normal (this seems believable).

I found them to have below average communication but the driver was very very very very careful with my bike ti spite it being real rough. I would (and will) use again.

Try giving Pacifica shipping a call as well if you can get it delivered to the wharf I think they just load it and bring it down, you get to collect it from Lyttelton.

You could also try Kiwi car carriers and get them to ship it down, ok you cant collect it from the wharf so easy but if you choose this latter PM me and I will tell you how to collect it from Lyttelton.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
