    WARNING!! Blenheim roads, bikers beware.

Seeing as it is harvest season for the winerys there are alot of grapes being transported from vineyards to winerys. In the last 2 days there have been spillages all round town. This may not seem so bad....BUT....ever squashed a grape and left the juice and pulp on the bench?? imagine THOUSANDS of them mashed and leaking onto the road and its slipperyer(sp?) than deisel. The police are activley looking for people to ring up and turn over rego numbers of trucks, tractors, etc spilling this shit on the road. They are spreading fine white sand on it to soak it up and provide some grip...its like ICE for cages too. Most of the roads into and out of Blenheim have some sand or spillage at some point along them, even the Welds pass...BEWARE on ya travels its fucking dangerous.

They must be pretty stupid guys, them grapes are worth a lot.
Look at low value wine labels, even as low as the 15 dollar a bottle they are careful with to maximise profit in a tight world market.
