Senario for a show....eg
Two 600's to track test, rider is interviewed and goes through his thoughts of each bike.
A technical segment on suspension/tyres/brakes etc
A bit of time spent of gear...helmets/leather (one piece/two piece) gloves/boots....how much you can set yourself up etc
A cruiser segment....along the same lines as the sport bike segment but perhaps just one cruiser.
And of cause...answer questions

Don't forget retros or nakids you know the bikes that fit somewhere in between sport bikes and cruisers, also tourers, adventure bikes(not all roads are sealed), the list goes on.........................

There has been a very good suggestion for a 'Female Segment' from time to time, test riding and so on.....I listened to what was said and see it now as, 'not strickley from a blokes angle'.
Some name's have been mentioned re the input and make up of such a programme, I am very incouraged by all of this.

Yes, hopefully this will be a show that can do an article about the kiwis in MotoGP etc.
You wouldn't know they were there if there wasn't a great article in a magazine recently! Tops to that mag...

I tried to get something similar (with a twist) going for TV two years ago.

Very difficult getting any co operation or input from any NZ television channel. They are simply not interested in "ideas or creative". Its all about bean-counting to them. in fact. They are fecking hopeless and I am in the industry where I know I am not alone in my opinion.

You will be asked to present a budget as first step. Prepare your self for a very frustrating process.

Good luck and hopefully you can succeed. ( I gave up with them but have developed a different approach)

I have the Format of the show clearly in my mind and for a half hour show all suggestions so far can not be covered, however, in saying that, all suggestions are being noted and if the format can be altered then ok. At this stage, I know exactly how I would want the show to come accross and a meeting of the 'Think Tank' in the coming weeks will chew it over so that we come with NZ Roadbike's final format.

I will take any knock backs and turn them into determination. I fully understand TV execs wont accept ideas, thats why I (I hope that will turn into an 'we' before showtime) hope to be showing them a Pilot show of the series. This wont be presented half arsed, The resoruce of skills within our reach includes all aspects of business planning/finacial management and have access to a sucessfull production company and we are taking advice in other areas.

maybe include a "fav biker eatin/watering stop" spot, or have an on tour segment with a couple of clowns showcasing some of the more fun stuff ya see around the sticks

Now I like this idea, you may have just blerted out the format for the 'Biker stop' segment Mark, There is some stuff I dont want on the show but this I like...
