    From - HH Media:

Sevlievo (Bulgaria). We had the shock news on Thursday night that Katherine Prumm was injured. The results in overnight:

    Lancelot, Livia FRA / Kawasaki 22 - 25 = 47
    Franke, Maria GER/Kawasaki 18 - 22 = 40
    Fiolek, Ashley USA/ Honda 20 - 18 = 38
    Prumm, Katherine NZL/Yamaha 16 - 20 = 36
    Mann, Elin SWE / KTM 15 - 16 = 31
    De Winter, Elien BEL/ KTM 14 - 14 = 28
    Veenstra, Marianne NED/ Suzuki 13 - 13 = 26
    Papenmeier, Larissa GER/Suzuki 25 - 00 = 25
    Adriansson, Sandra SWE/Suzuki 9 - 15 = 24
    Van Wordragen, Nicky NED/KTM 10 - 12 = 22
    Wagemans, Brenda BEL/KTM 7 - 10 = 17
    Scott, Nikki NZL/Kawasaki 5 - 11 = 16

Nikki Scott was 12th in the Timed Practice after being 15st in Practice 1 and 12th in Practice 2. Nikki was only 6.319 seconds behind Katherine over a 2:04 minute lap - not bad on debut. Interesting email from her mum Colleen in Euro News.

    More from HH Media:

Nikki Scott - update from her mother - Colleen

"The track was one they used for the French GP in 1987 - it was at Arbis. The racing went good and bad. It was a major drama to get her a start as they were worried about insurance, even though MNZ had given her a permisson to start at other international events with evidence supporting her insurance cover, but Karim, he is a 'superstar' in France, pulled some strings and convinced them to let her race but she had to race the grade below MX2.

They were still pretty fast, the fastest was in the top 5 lap times of the MX2 class - burglar ! Anyway, she qualified 6th fastest and was looking the best she has on the bike.

Race 1 and she got a good start, was in 7th, moved into 4th on the second lap and was pushing for 3rd when the rider in front of her brake checked and she hit his rear wheel. She dropped the bike and was in last when she restarted. got up to 15th, rode really well. There was about 45 in her class.

Race 2 and they werent to happy about getting whipped by a femme, so they squeezed her at the start, knocking her off. She picked up and rode awesome and got to 12th place, they crowd were going crazy, they absolutey adored her

Race 3 was a disaster, it had become so dusty you couldn't even see them on the track, she got a midpack start and got into the top 10 quickly, but dropped it on lap 3, she got restarted and was pushing hard, (she was only 1 of 2 in this class clearing all the jumps) she launched at the step-up and the rider in front of her braked and changed his line causing Nikki to take drastic action to not hit him, she ended up landing on a fence. She got up no damage done, but it was not worth continuing on, so she pulled off.

So they got to see the good and bad of Nikki's ability, but the French crowd loved watching her race, she was their favourite rider by far, they are very passionate people. After every Moto hoards of people would just come and stand and watch her.

She got this awesome cup for just riding and entertaining the crowd and they would love to have her there anytime.

We are looking forward to Bulgaria, if she can stay on 2 wheels she will do well. Au Revoir Colleen & Nikki"

shes the deaf girl aye? was reading something about her on the DRD site.

'Fiolek got her first bike at age three and has been participating in motocross since age seven, training herself to ride and shift by feeling the bike’s vibrations.'

thats amazing that shes riding at a top level, with that sort of disadvantage.. give you abit of a fright when someone passes you anyway

No, I've looked at a bunch of places and other than them saying it was a ruptured ACL that needs reconstructive surgery ... nothing

So she probably has got one of those fancy knee braces on with extra strapping and a shit load of pain to deal with.

I think the weather has packed up... Heavy rain is shown on the satellite image.

I heard down the grape vine that Katherine is coming home this week to see her surgeon, before heading to OZ for the next round of their champs and then back to WMX in a month for the next round..... Very tough she is......

Tough was to ride the round immediately after her injury, stupid is to keep riding.
