    Shes coming home....

Went to Turners today to go see my little girl go under the hammer. We have got first dibs on it so we knew we would get it back but i still had to bit my tounge when fuckers were crawling all over it, touching it, poking it.
some bastard wheeled it along and whent to put it on its stand with only half stand down and almost dropd it. dick head.
I watched the price go up and up and up and then the final price came.

I thoug shit thats a lot higher that what i thought it would be. So when everyone left i asked the guy for an allen key to get my tank bag strap from under the seat. He gave it to me and i also asked for the key for it too.

Got the strap off and then after almost two months without seeing it. i started it up...........my heart just melted and almost had a small tear in the eye. I looked at the old man and said....."shes coming home with us dad"
I didnt even need to say it to him. He knew.

ive never had a bike that ive been so attached to.
i cant wait to get her home and get her repaired and back on the road.

cant wait to get her back on the road

Eh? Why was it at Turners? Is it something weird to do with insurance?

When a bike gets written off, the insurance company sells it through turners.
That way they still make some money.
Its a good way to find a wreck if anyones looking.
I know where you can find a good VTR1000 motor, in an absolutly screwed frame!

Sorry to hijack such a moving thread, but how do you find out when turners are doing the bike auctions? Their web site never lists them.

I didn't realise it was written off - I thought it was just getting fixed! That's not so good. Does that mean he's got the insurance pay out and bought his 'old' bike back too?

Good on ya Moto, its hard to lose a loved one isnt it. Hope it all goes right. Keep us up to date on what the story is
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

There's a complete TL front end on trademe at the moment....
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
