I see there are a few rightious here that think that they: 1. Know it all. 2. Know it all but dont and 3. Think they know it all and will make total pillicks of themselves.
On passing lanes the rules state keep left, not on the motorway as its merely a multi laned road. I drives from one end to the other then eventually back again to get home as I have family up north. :cool2:
Now I see that there are plenty of people who think they are permitted to make up their own rules, depending on what their own wants are. Its these sort of people who are the cancer of society. They think only of themself and think screw anyone else who gets in the way. It would appear that this is becoming a larger proportion within our society as time goes by. Well to all those who get pissed at me in the fast lane: You are not worth my bother. AKL motorway is a shite place to have to drive/ride because of your sort of attitude and goes part the way to why the rest of NZ calls you lot JAFFA Get over yourself as your not as important as you think and yes add to my reputation, because it might make you feel better or even justified in your own mind There is no law stating that anyone has to move over when travelling in the inner most lane for some plonker who speeds. And from the experiences on the AKL motorway its the safest lane to be in when going through. Oh and like they say " the faster you go, the bigger the mess". So now you can pass me by going around me, sit behind me and preform and if your dumb enough to do anything stupid, well you dont know what I drive. I'm slow and solid. If I'm doing under 100km/h I'll move over to let others through (yes I've owned a GTR r32 and a GSR turbo and know what it is to be able to go much quicker).

Safe driving on motorways

When driving on a motorway:

keep left, unless you are passing

watch for exit signs

get into the correct exit lane in plenty of time

signal for at least 3 seconds before you change lanes

you must not stop your vehicle, except in an emergency

you must not make a U-turn

you must not stop to let down or pick up passengers

if you miss your exit, don't stop and go back - instead, drive on to the next exit
