The "above said "cop"" also known as my old man, has been in the police over 20 years, was an original "snake" also know as the MOT and now is in the STU (Strategic Traffic Unit)

Marty was a cop as well, so thats why i believe that we are right....

    Arrow OK if your right.

Then please quote the actual law stating about the driving on a motorway and which lane should be used. So far there has been planty of opinions, but so far no direct proof of the law. I'm sure Marty was and I'm sure your dad is. But too many times I've been quoted by magpies a total load of and when your provide evidence to support the aruement they drop the issue. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong and I could live with that. But just saying I am without proof is pointless and some of the comments pathetic

i'm not sure what a ledgend is, but thanks anyway. if you had the slightest idea how to search and read legislation it will take you 30 seconds to realise that you have made a big dick out of yourself.

Your assuming that the law ids the same for the motorway as a passing lane. So pull yer head outta ya arse and read up on it. I did before my first reply to this thread. For an ex magpie you follow their lead well...

    i'm not assuming anything.

2)Subject to regulations 7 and 8 hereof, every driver on any road marked in 2 or more lanes for the direction in which he is travelling shall not drive in the right-hand lane if by doing so he would impede the normal flow of traffic in that lane, unless this is necessary for the purpose of passing an obstruction or in the course of overtaking.

no distinction between passing lanes and motorways here. surely i don't have to translate this into p l a i n english. just read it slowly and i'm sure even you can understand it.

On and off roads and sitting in the left lane there. The law has an interesting statement regarding this issue also

Arrow Just out of interest, a question.

Why is it that when I travel along the entire AKL motorway travelling north I find in many places cars travel at speeds way over my 110km/h, passing me like I'm sitting on the side of the street in town. Now later on further down the road (still a 100km/hr zone) I pass the same cars who for whatever reason (none that is apparent) they have slowed to an estimated 80km/h, yet are not getting off the road. Now I know the hazardous areas and its not those, nor can I see any common sense reason. The only thing I could believe is that it is where the speed cameras often stop. However I drive through still doing 110km/h and I've never recieved a ticket

The bull bars were removed as I've been hit by a 4wd in the rear with em and it stuffed my Sprinter GT. I dont go near pedestrians as they tend to make a mess all over my nice paint on the Surf. I would expect that only a sissy would get upset about having to ride around a 4wd to get in frount of it, next they will expect that all 4wds pull over when they are first viewed in the rear mirror? And finially I would expect that this sort of comment from a non rider...
