    What first bike should I get?

    Yeah im guessing this is probabablly the 50th thread like this youve read, but oh well

    im about 185cm tall, 60 kg and lookign at getting my learners, ill be riding with a mate whos got a 2007, 250cc ninja so would want something that wont be too dissimilar, im looking at the rg150es being sold on trade me quite seriously, dont want to spend too much over 2k on a bike.... what do you guys reckon?

    Who's your mate? I know someone due to pick up the same model Ninja...

    For round 2K you might be better to get a 400 if you wanna skip the overpriced market that is 250's... Just avoid drawing a attention on the road.

    Otherwise you could surely pick up an ok 2-smoke, if you don't wanna four stroker...

    umm mate already has his and got it in christchurch....

    i think the 08 is a wee bit out of my price range and will only have learners so a 400 isnt possible

    Get a CG125, cheap reliable and will teach you great skills as you can't compensate with power because it has none.

    he's right- spend a little bit more: Suzuki GSX250, my first bike and a great way to start.....
    It wasn't me, it was like that when I found it. Honest.
