None better !!!! Now, how do I make my bucket sound like one......
get afew more cylinders and straight pipes. or they had an inline 5 125cc which sound awsome too, and that could be raced in buckets.
    they also developed a 3cylinder 50cc. nuts!
having loads of cylinders and revs was the only way honda could get their 4strokes to keep up with the 2bangers.

thumpers have a pretty good sound too.

Don't believe they ever did a six (triples and fours, yes), but am ready to be educated.
Looks like the Vees have it so far...the VMax motor is a gem, supercharged or not. Still a big fan tho of the '70's BSA/Triumph triples. One of the worst road bikes I ever owned (and I've owned some dogs) but the racer sound is gorgeous.

Nothing sounds like a Trident of Rocket 3 - best noise in my book....nothing else sounds like them, apart from a TS3 Commer.

!957/8 500 6 cyl revs to 15000rpm, Monza GP with John Hartle. Since MVs were totally dominant anyway with the withdrawal of Guzzi, Gilera and Mondial, the six was shelved (bummer) will try to find a sound clip later unless someone can beat me to it

    proper race bikes aren't eligible

MV also did a 350/6 in 1969 , 72hp @ 16000rpm, 125kg. tha FIM changed the rules to max number of cyl as four cyl and the bike was obsolete

one or two comments about Dukes, but the best ones are the bevels barking through a set of Contis ; that is a delicious noise

But if anyone could find a soundtrack of SuperNero doing a run that would be SWEET A big Vincent going hell for leather

Of the bikes I've actually heard on NZ roads - Ducati.

Most twins sound glorious and I do appreciate a well tuned multi cylinder too

Was going to say the same but then imagined some thinking "wtf is a bevel drive" or "how can tyres sound good".I can still remember the sound of the old mans 78SS heading towards me on the summit rd,awsome although matched by listening to an old Trident with an outrageous 3/1 heading from Fernihurst down to the old Conway store, pretty sure we could still hear it 5 miles away through the Hundalees.

Mine...........sounds good but not the best, would have to go with that 996 posted prior.

Mine however is a lovely Monster 620 with Cycleworks cans. From what I gather air/oil cooled bikes sound better/louder than water cooled bikes

Ahaha. Yep. My old Oil cooled GSXR with Yoshi pipe sounds better to me than the newer gear.
    +1 for the Monster
