(From a 'currently recovering from a recent bin rider') - Genuinely sorry to hear of your bin, but happy to hear you're relatively OK.

dude you are kidding?Call the cops right now whether you like dealing with them or not, this dude sounds dodgy as shit, the car sounds stolen........just my 2cents but man you really need to get the 5-0 on this caus' if the car was stolen it'll be easier if they do find him to link him to your crash etc.

Also, as it was an injury crash (dislocated shoulder) then you are required by law to notify the police. (within 24 hours??)
I finally got my knee down! …and my shoulder …and my pillion’s head.

Haha, okay okay guys. Geez, I said I would involve the Police and I wasn't just bullshitting around.

Went to A&E this morning and they cleared me with bruising, mentioned that I have enough cuts and grazes and scars all over my body that I'll probably know for myself if it's getting worse.. thought that was kinda funny.

Headed to the cop shop and filled out one of those report things, got the car's details all neatly printed and photocopied for me, it's *not* stolen, I have the guys address and phone number and I was in the right.

The police will be turning up on his door within the next couple of days to get the rest of his details, drivers license number etc.. and in that time i'll be taking my bike to Wild West Honda to get a full evaluation and if he refuses to pay i'll be taking him to the small claims court and including costs like ACC, Lost wages etc. etc.

On further inspection of my bike..

The handlebars been completely bent so that'll need to be replaced, but everything else excluding the 3 dents in my gas tank and the crushed speedometre I should be able to sort myself.

Good on ya, at the end of the day you'll have the police report if he argues he wasn't in the wrong

Don't even get me started on your Marauder.. where have you been for ages anyway?! Come on an AWNR some time.

And my next bike looks like it's going to be a Hyosung Aquilla 650, not much better for brand name but i'm man enough not to care!

And I like the yellow.. on every group ride i've been on i've got heaps of comments about how they can see my yellow bike miles *ahead* of them.

Well done for getting the cops involved. Making it official makes life heaps easier down the track with things like legal stuff, insurance quotes and future dealings with the ACC.

Also it might make him think twice before T-boning another biker. Glad you are OK, that's the main thing.

If I EVER get hit, first thing I'm gonna do (if I'm not out cold that is), is dial 111 and tell them I'm disoriented and don't know if I'm hurt.

Fucking pisses me off reading all these tales of people who don't ever pay up after they wreck your bike.

The guy was in the wrong and hit you.

You shouldnt have to sort anything yourself. Get a quote to have it repaired professionally.

EDIT: Glad that the car was not stolen, and that his details were correct. I bet his name aint Goose tho'
