Motorcycing is not a hobby, It is a way of life!
Missed forever! NEVER FORGOTTEN!!
LIVE ON MY FRIENDS!
Friends dont let friends ride Hyosungs
I had a quick look at the three they have in Cyclespot - AKL....
I like it... I've not ridden it yet but if its as good as the write-ups say then it'll be superb. They'll have to come down in price before I could seriously consider it.
Saw my first one today and love itwell the looks anyway.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
You'd have to want one really...
I'd rather spend 2K less and get the ZX10R....

Interesting subject Mass centralisation. As I understand it, there is a compromise between the locating the C of G in the optimum position to achieve the best "Polar moment of inertia" and the best location for braking.
If you position the C of G too low you undermine the front brake causing it to "sledge" along. Honda did this by putting the Fuel tank under the engine on their NSR500 race bike years back.... it ruined the braking efficiency of the bike which out-weighed any benefit in handling elsewhere.
The optimum C of G point would be one which balances turning interia and proper weight transfer on to the front wheel which to my mind is best achieved with a C of G slightly higher and slightly further back than would seem obvious.
I'm sure all bike manufacturers are aware of this but it seems only Honda make a such a fuss over it...
I see your point. Mine is though: Once the optimal point for the CoG has been decided, you should ideally have most of the mass as close as possible to it so as to make the bike more agile. Spin a 2m staff with a 1kg weight in the middle and it will be heaps easier than spinning a 2m staff with a 500g weight at each end.

OSH told me I am not allowed to swing my staff around the office any more..........they might get hurt.
I've just scored a quick test ride from Cyclesport...
The 2008 Blade is the best bike I've ridden. It feels totally different to the 2007 version. It feels lighter and narrower. The Engine has more/better power everywhere. It sounds great when you open it up but sounds like a diesel when its idling. Its comfy and it feels like there plenty of room on it. .... I could rabbit on about it for ages..... but its a definate step up from the 2007 blade....
I feel an obsession building....
I rode the Motomart demo last weekend - I thought it was a bit soft below 5000 rpm, but after that.....holy shit hold onto your hat.
I was very impressed -it made my 05 feel pretty tame. At last Honda have silenced the naysayers in terms of power. The nose still looks a bit 'blunt and snub nosed' to me, but it would probably grow on ya. Would no doubt look the bees knees in Repsol livery.
Handling and brakes seemed no different to the 05 to me.
