    Crank seal?

I'm struggling to get a crank seal at the moment, but the local bearing company does supply them. The one they had was ok for heat (viton or something) and the diameters were spot on. The only problem is that it's 1mm thicker.

Would it be ok to use?

depends if it going to clear the bearing in the case, if its not going to foul on anything i wouldnt have thought there would be a problem.

Yup if will clear things it shoulndt be a prob

I used to make seals for a living at a small place in Aussie

http://www.sealjet.com.au/ .............If ya really get stuck they could make one to suit
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

Got one today and it turned out to be 1mm thinner, but the same diameters (i hope).

    Should be fine I reckon.

Outer, but I had to split the crank anyway to replace the needle bearing third gear runs on. Paid just over $30 for the seal, and was around the same price from Dirt Action Services but they didn't have any in stock. Just waiting for the piston kit, if it comes this week I can get out this weekend hopefully. You keen yet?
