What are those lines on the road?
Ok, so occasionally there are white spray-painted lines on the road running in the direction of the road, approximately as wide apart as the left and right tyres of a car. There are two of them, they are not continuous (they are dotted kindof), and they usually run for about 300 metres or so. They have distances marked out eg the 100m, 200m and 300m distances. I have noticed them on corners and on straits. And they have been in the middle of no-where where there wouldn't have been any underground utilities buried either. Hmmm.
What are these for?
I initially thought they were an experiment to see if people would follow them unconsciously, thus wearing the road differently. But I don't think so.
Anyone know?
To split or not to split, that is the question
