haha, good thought, I was going to say to him, "Grab the ferry over to the other Island, more interesting than riding back up to Aucks"..... maybe he read my mind!??

Darn tootin' I was again faced with the conundrum ... the ferry was beckoning, late sailing or early ... but suffice to say I have commitments in Dorkland which I must honour

Got back a wee whiles ago ... still ruefully thinking "should have got on the ferry"

I think even by my standards this is getting nuttier! I've only had my Big Ol'Hornet for 3 days ... and done 2351km on it as of now!

At this rate, I will be booking in the next service next week! For the record, the Big Ol'Hornet makes pootling far too easy Right time to get a nap in .... and plan some more riding for today! If its showering in Taupo, Meeky gets to pick up her new ride (and I get to play wingman)

P.S. Phew! He didn't go down to south island I'll go first

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

That is an amazing effort, and most of the ride must have been in darkness.

Too right he did, I was in bed dreaming of hot asian biker chicks and then this helmeted freak pokes in from the doorway (thanks to the olds for leaving the front door unlocked! )

Did a quickie to Port Waikato and off to Mercer/Hunuas before stopping in at the Yamaha Dealership in Takanini for zeo to buy an anti-scuff tank pad.

I'm thinking a ride around the Coro loop gijoe1313 style is on for tomorrow ....

Actually the Big Ol'Hornet makes it quite easy! I've done the same trip many times on the little ol'hornet and to confess, I enjoyed the challenge of riding the little ol'hornet more!

I've done quite a lot of my riding at night, 'tis wonderful without most of the cagers and other hoi-polloi on the road in the wee hours of the morning!

The Big Ol'Hornet is still the bee's knees with me though!

I'm stupid as stupid does ... I ain't a smart man, I just like to ride my bike ... life is like a bike dealership, there's plenty in it, but you can only ride one at a time ... ahyup ...
And then, there was this one time on my little ol'hornet ....

Thanks for all the kind words peeps, but I know you would all ride as much as I do if you could as well!

NZ isn't big enough for you, man. You're like a small puppy desperately trying to break out of its room, zig-zagging across and back and bouncing off the walls

I think you're best off sticking to smaller bikes from now on, you'll only frustrate yourself if you go and buy a Goldwing or ST1300. At least with the Hornet you have to stop every once in a while to fill the tank, lube the chain and pick the bugs out of your helmet vents

    I'm not worthy!

And how izzit that I can keep riding down SH22 and still not turn to the dang right after that bridge to get up and see you... Right, will add that to my list to ensure I have done so!

I've had mine a couple of weeks over 6 months and just turned over 5000ks last weekend - I suspect by the end of this long weekend you will have caught me up!

You had better start saving for a new rear tyre!

Yeah, I had to replace the Hornet's original rear tyre after 6000kms.

Well coming home from "A day in the life of gijoe1313", the ride today and then a night time ride all over the fricken place, he decided to also lump his photos onto my laptop! So I thought I'd upload one to show the poor fricken thing that he's abusing and rarely cleaning!

Behold, the Hornet that can't keep up with his owner.
