Hey guys went at lunchtime and cycletreads repaired it
I expressed my concern about the pillion etc, they assured me its all good - fixed . 30bux
I am very fussy about who does any work on my bike
cycletreads is the one place that I trust - period
as for mentioning im from kb to get a discount.. I would be most surprised if thats worked for anyone ..anywhere ..period.
Again today I asked someone if they were from Kb
usual response... You arent with those dickheads are you ? and then a rant which I have heard before
I like KB, I sift through daily but hardly ever post, but people - you often need to get rid of your 'holier than thou' attitude - get off your keyboards and on your bikes and tell us what a great ride you had instead of telling other people what not to do on their bikes
On the flipside, I met a nice chap at cycletreads who was from KB - flick us a pm,
I dont want this post to spark discussion, the threads over and can be closed

    praise to cycletreads

its actually recommended to replace tyres when punctured , i think we all know this .
yes you can fix them as you obviously have done

my point of view is simple , replace the tyre .
you ll wish you had down the trac when it goes flat .
if it was me id have left the screw in it , would have saved you the 30 bucks and it was doing the same job.

Your arrogance is so outrageous it's actually quite funny.

You posted a thread asking for advice. Other members have given their time and knowledge to assist you. All good stuff - this is what KB is all about.

Your response is to pour your contempt upon those who respond.

If you find KBers to be so contemptable, why do you keep coming back for more...?

    WTF?

You were about to waste $250 on a new rear tyre, and you were more interested in posting a thread and getting our advice than calling the tyre shop yourself and asking what to do about it.

In any case, whoever you spoke to at Treads was probably just taking the piss.

    Don't be such an arselicker.

I've had three holes on the same rear tire - all plugged myself and still did over 200k regularly without problems.

I put new tyres on seemy recently and within two hundred K's and a hory nail in the sidewall of the rear tyre. Went to bikeshop and said 'sorry, the nail is in the sidewall and cant fix it. WOF issues'. I said 'bullshit'.

So what I got done was, I had them put the 'bung' in as usual and then I got a heavy duty motard tube put in and I've done 8K's so far, no problems.

I do keep a very close eye on it though.

how did you manage to get a tyre to last 6 months?

I punctured a MeZ4 a week after I put it on the bike. Put a bung in it. rode it for 11000km. No probs.
