19628km on my Griso from this time April 08 to 07
12384km on same bike April 07 to April 06

On my previouse bike and before rallies 9056km 05-06
and before that mainly for work 5500km 04-05

and the bikes before I have no idea.

I have owned the griso since 06 and have consumed a total of 1886ltrs of gas to complete the total km's of 32012km.

ok thats enough for me.... but sure more social riding is beginning to munch up the km's especiall over the last season, with taking the long way to get to many places for the hell of it.

80kms a day (weekday) so 400kms a week comutting over the last 18 months = 30,000kms just commutting.

Plus about 2000 race kms in that time, and how ever much I ride in the weekends which can be up to 800kms sometimes..

I did approximately 10,000 kms in my first 6 months over summer and such. Then I started crashing my bikes and haven't done so much recently. Winter is on its way and I have a car as well. I don't expect to match the first 6 months over the next 6...

Whatever you do - do not sit down and calculate how much money you would have spent on petrol when considering these figures... Not unless you already have your dreambike and a nice house

Petrol, tyres, servicing, registration and insurance. Not to mention gear and other accoutrements. And accommodation, food and coffee...

And then factor running beast powered by Fords cast iron engines of 6+ litres into it and THEIR running expenses - sheesh, no wonder I'm always broke!

    Unfortunately not. \

It was the other most common reason.

    MONEY

Had a two way delivery so I got paid about 400 pounds for the trip

    I don't know and I don't care!

Today was my first ride (to Oamaru and back) since Easter Sunday. (Fell off, broke my shoulder and ribs)

It seemed like 100,000 yrs ago, since I rode my bike.

    What a fantastic ride!

Is there any better reason for living!

What could possibly be as magical as riding a bike on such a wonderful day? Yaeeeee! John.

PS: Well there is sex but lets just dwell on today.
