Yeah Dave that'd be a good idea. I'm sure we can work something out tomorrow night? Weather looks like it's going to be bad again, but I'll be there

If we start early we could get it done tonight.
That is if we don't piss around to much.
I will try to make it there early.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

I can bring one along if you need it

EDIT: I'm assuming it's the tool to get the buggers out that you're talking about...

Can't make it today as working but I am going to try and make it next week, if anyone can help me sort out my speedo. Just put on a new speedo cable but it's not working all that well.

    Would help.

Just a normal tube one that we can cut down if we have to, will do.

I will look in my box of bits and see what I have that may do the job.

Had to turn down a 5/8th sparkplug socket for a mate the other day, it wouldn't fit down the hole in his cylinder head. If any of you keen young things get stuck like that, let me know, happy to turn your ones down too. (cause I hate those tube type factory ones)

Well first of all, hello again everyone... haven't been logging on to KB for quite a while recently, just haven't been bothered and had other things to do. But I thought I'd pop in and see how things were going... and then I spotted that people were looking for excuses to drink some beer?! Ahem. I could use a bit of whistle whetting practice....

Haven't been along to any of the events lately because I've either had a lot to do on the evening in question or (as today) the weather's been absolutely rubbish and my gear doesn't keep me dry, which isn't much fun when riding in from where I live.

Hanging out for the nicer weather and daylight savings starting again, haven't had a chance to do much riding recently with all the rain and generally shitty conditions we've had! Still nearly 3 months away though in the case of daylight savings

Unhappy Hope to be able to ride to the next one...

Connie's a little sick and in a few parts today but hopefully by this Wednesday I'll be able to ride there.

Poor thing was running like she was about out of fuel.

Checked plugs - black, dirty and gritty, so thought I'd just get new ones.
Air filter - dirty also so I'll get a new one of them too.

My main concern now is that if both of those are dirty then the carb' and other important "things" are dirty, clogged or worse, completely buggered.

Once I get the plugs and filter I'll be able to sort them, but as for the carb' I reckon I should stay away from it. Now is it worth doing what I can or just take it somewhere to get the "wire brush and dettol" treatment?

It may or may not be to bad in side the carbs.
You will never know unless you pull them apart to look and clean.

If you do not want to pull them apart your self, I would put half a bottle of Wynn's (spelling maybe wrong) carb or injection cleaner in the gas tank for the next two tanks fulls.
It may do the trick and if it doesn't it can make cleaning out the carbs later easier as it will clean out the small fuel gallery's that you can not clean out and will do no harm.
And will help clean your fuel tank of any water that is there as well.

I would try this first as it is to easy not to.

    Cheers Lemans,

I feel quote releived after your suggestion. I'll replace all the bits and pieces (hopefully it won't cost too much) and then go hunting at Warehouse for that Wynns stuff.

Can't wait to get back on the ol' girl again, really missed hitting the road on such a cracker day!!

Sure was a cracking day today... I managed to get out for a ride for the first time in a few weekends, felt really good to get out and take care of a few of those evil cobwebs!

Still all on for this Wed? Anything exciting on the schedule this week?

I've got my new plugs so I'll throw them in tomorrow but looks like I've got a wee wait on the air filter so will have to take the cage down.

Side note for anyone looking for NGK plugs. I nabbed mine from Darbi Accessories and they gave me a sweet deal, $40.91 for 4 new plugs, much better than $17 and $16 quoted at two other places.

I'm keen for this week. It's not actually supposed to be raining for a change. Anyone want to help set my sag? My bike's sag that is...
