Just so long as you don't pay for shipping with a cashier's check for a large amount, and require the excess funds to be remitted back to your local account...

Which wrecker are you using? I know for sure that Atomic ship overseas.

Otherwise, you should be able to call one of the global freight companies (DHL, UPS, FedEx) and arrange a door-to-door on your credit card.

Our first Canadian. Welcome, hope you stick around. Just watch out for wari and his

As JR said, you should be able to get a shipping company to pick it up if the wrecker is willing to organize it themselves. Also where is the wrecker located?

And if you get stuck, there are people on here who have PayPal accounts who'd probably be willing to help out.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    anyone knows them ??

Oh, and no big cashiers checks or anything... lol i'll just do as the person who helps me wants to!!

Well...usualy, i hang arround at CBR250.com or tomiandcarl.com (us forum for VTR 250 owners). Our VTR's, which were sold in 1988-90 are basicaly a VT 250 FG with diferent grafix, low power and ugly turn signals.

I am getting this Fuel tank cuz my fairings are broken and the stock fuel tank extends each side of the frame, so it looks ugly and i cant put lower clip-ons and no steering damper either. The steering damper is cuz i'm puting a suzuki DR 650 engine in it so...i'll prolly need the extra hold for the big mono !!

    Cool Amarzzata...

    Kia ora and welcome. :cool2:

I am sure that someone will know of this wrecker and may be able to assist you..... as there are a few KB riders that are in the Wellington area.

If our riders can get parts sent in from overseas, then I don't see why we can't do the same.... if the money is in the bank then there shouldn't be a problem..

All the best...... and keep on posting in all the other threads... nice to have you onboard. :cool2:

He's been burnt before. Also you will be shocked how much freight costs. It is done by all companies as size weight, a bizarre measurement that states if you ship something light but takes up a lot of space they will charge as if it was a heavyish item taking the same space. Freight will be hundreds of dollars & customers feel as if they are being ripped off, which they are but not by the supplier but the freight company. You don't know what it is going to cost until you take it to the freight company hence it is too big for him to ship without possibly taking a bath on it.
Don't you look at my accountant.

    Cool good luck

and let us know how ya get on.......

all the wrecker needs to know how much it will cost via snail mail.. and add that onto the cost.... and he just has to make sure that the money is in his bank account, before he sends it to you...... maybe a track and trace as well (think that may cost a bit but will be worth it) :cool2:

I live not too far from Buckets 'n' Bits. Could pick it up for you and send it over I 'spose. We might be able to do some sort of exchange - any wreckers over your way breaking an 82 or thereabouts Suzuki GS1100GK ? (8 valve motor, not the 16 valve GSX)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

I've bought stuff (CBR600 FAiring panels, headlight etc) off ebay from Canada, the Canadian post is really expensive esp compared to US Post.
