    Fear of riding

Ok I have to share as I'm tooo happy and excited that I have overcome my fear of getting on my bike and riding.

I used to look for every excuse under the sun and not ride and just pillon whenever I could. But after my first big ride down to Napier and back, I don't have the nervous feeling anymore. I'm even riding to work, which I NEVER thought I would be doing in the Auckland traffic.
I'm completely rapted and can't stop grinning.

Every chance I get, I'm now on my bike and its an awesome feeling. Thank you to all those that have been patient with me and given me the push I needed.

Now to start thinking about sitting my restricted

WOOHOO!! Go the Sticky one! I suppose you be bringing your pink bits to Wellyville before too long then? Sometime around the Westlife concert?
(Your pink bits might get wet - if it rains... )

Betcha that SV650 is looking mighty tempting now...

Sometimes you need to listen to others, instead of your inner voice. But your inner voice still has a message...riding is/can be dangerous, but you have the skills to manage that. And now you have the confidence to replace the push that others gave you.
    Ride on, girl.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Is that like being carried away by a giant bird of prey?

No you're thinking of wrapted, the act of smacking a bird across the top of it's claws with a ruler while it carried you away.

Back to the original post though... awesome awesome awesome awesome. That is so very cool.

Remember what this feels like becuase there may be a sligh woopsie (a bit of loose gravel or something) that makes you uncertain again - but keep at it. You'll be riding in the fast group in no time.

    A mammoth undertaking for sure!
We are so proud of you, you have no idea how elated I was to see you ride up the driveway here!
As MDU says, there will be times where it isn't so cool, so remember the feelings over the weekend and hang on to them just in case you need a little lift sometime in the future!
    You go, hun!!!
