Thumbs up Thanks for stopping, man on Duc

Crap! Broke down in the fast lane on the way to work yesterday morning, just before Aotea offramp.

Only a foot of room between the barrier and the white line... which is zero room to park even a scoot.

Put him up on the stand, attempted to kick him into life again but had to leap over the barrier out of the way of traffic.

No cars attempted to stop or slow. Heaps of bikes did slow, ask or acknowledge. One guy on a Ducati did stop and I'm very grateful. Nowt could be done though.

Called *555 and a car turned up about 15-20 minutes later. Managed to start it again but only got as far as The Terrace offramp before it sputtered to a halt again. Started again. Think it's either bad fuel and/or a carb problem.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

    Cool Deb......

Hope you find out what the problem is real soon... :cool2:

What a place to stop... with not much room for you, let alone the bike.

Cheers crashe. Might attempt pulling the carb apart this weekend. Good for me to learn.

Must admit to missing the freedom of the scoot today. Took the van to work instead and had to plan lane changes 2 minutes before the actual manouvre.

Saw a stunning Aprilia RS250 down the gorge 'tis morning. Had to remind myself that I couldn't lanesplit in a van in order to catch him up to have a decent perv at the bike

lucky honda didn't see you - he wouldn't have thought anything about you being stuck in the 'fast' lane. maybe you were there taking photos or something.....
