Gull's BioEthonal 10% whatsit?

Has anyone used or uses Gulls Bioethonal mix recently?
I have always preferred the Gull mix but theres been 2x now when I''ve 'had' to stop in Gull (1 being in Tairua) and I've found these stations have replaced their 95 with the ethonal mix, and now I'm between a rock and a hard-place...
use 91 and run like a hairy bag of...well, run badly

or use this this unknown witches brew.

The first time i read their 'who can use it' brochure there was only 4 Brands on there, and it listed Ducati (the closest match) as saying NO. Last weekend I read the brochure again (some months later) and they still haven't added anymore brands on there.

Basically just looking for feedback and any tips/ advice from someone using it.

Price is the same as the fossils.
I can't run it as i've got rubber fuel lines. Ethanol corrodes it.

Going to have the change the lines soon, as you probably won't have too much of a choice.

Always used 98. But as far as I was aware, our government didn't allow additives such as ethanol, which is why we don't get anything higher then 98?

The government is mandating them to put Ethanol into the fuel.

For the Biofuels, the 98 is a 10% Ethanol mix, and the 91 is a 3% Ethanol mix.

Steer clean of the 98 if your bikes on the no-go list, but you should be OK with the 91.

Why risk it until you have to though?

So do I, but the point of this thread is, when you roll into that 'Last Gas Station for 100 k's' and your running on the final fumes in your tank, you find your in a Gull Station with...

The ST book says to only use 95+ and not to use fuels with more than 10% bio-added so I've avoided Gull stations since, on the basis that why take the risk.

In the instance you give, I'd probably resort to half a tank and put 50/50 91 & 98 to get me to the next stop.

If you do use an ethanol blend, it will run a little leaner, so keep an ear out for any pinging or engine rattle under large throttle openings. If it pings at low RPM then then it WILL be doing it at high RPM whether you can hear it or not - engine damage will result.

My NSR has had a few tanks through it now and none of the hoses have fallen off yet, it seems to be a bit crisper on it to but it is a little rich.

I doubt 10% ethanol will much of a differents to the life of the fuel lines, and it has the benefit of removing moisture from the fuel system.

Honda says you can take up to 10% ethanol based fuels.

No methanol based fuels though.
