    It's a good thing bikers aren't superstitious.

    Isn't it.
I was waiting for someone to connect the dots.

Chris, don't you wish you could got back to the good old days of only being responsible for the constant rain?

Laughing with ya (not much else you can do when shit happens). Glad you're ok, tis the main thing.

Sorry. I have to do this.

    Ahem.

    I've got a bike
You can ride it if you like
    It's got a basket
    A bell that rings
And things to make it look good
I'd give it to you if I could
    But I borrowed it...

The way TS was riding has nothing to do with it,the turbo doesn't break chains,ZX12's,Busa's and beakbird's don't break 'em,there's no way a pissy (sorry SM)TLr's gonna break a chain with power......
Yea for sure nothing about a power thing, twins are hard on chains for sure, just seems like a freakish accident, they do happen, just like someone telling me TL's dont drop valves man i proved them wrong Unlucky to have the chain bunch and whack the engine case.

TS: Show me what a real TL looks like i resent that, just cause my one is missing a few well okay more than a few bits n peices and still has factory mufflers and ah who the fuck am i trying to kid the R is phat but so is the S equal love to both. I just couldn't afford the R at the time, they still hold a good price to for some reason.

TS mate i know how you feel bro, i went through a horrible patch in my life when i had my brand new K2 600 and after four weeks destroyed (but it lives) (just) fuck i felt shit, still paying for that bike to, but thats the way it is. I still ride man, i'm in a sheetload of managable (just) debt to ride but i do.
Some bad luck will happen, but carry on man, hey at least if you destroy one bike you got two others to back up on Besides i know MR will whoop you arse if you don't ride and so will I, and me be alot bigger than MR so you best be carrying on riding, understand!!

And big ups to Glen to, what a top attitude mate, nice.

And TS you can borrow me S anytime you want man, i'm quite sure you couldn't damage it anymore than what i have already

Have you ever looked at gsxr1300 registry site?, thats the main problem they have.

Yeah nothing beats reality, does it? Hell we have a regular 450 Rebel rider here whose bike eats chains Well the link retaining clips anyway.......

All I have to say is that both TS and SM are fortunate that it didn't happen whilst riding in the twisties... Any mishap that you can walk away from is good - not bad luck! We all have moments where our mortality becomes glaringly clear to us. Luckily, we get over it and get back on the saddle.

I've had a chain snap on my old KLX650 while in the fast lane on the Southern Motorway. Luckily, it didn't catch on anything so, all I got was a scuffed crankcase and frame and a long wait sitting on the median barrier!

Dont worry TS it will all work out one way or the other.

The main thing is your ok.. it only a f***en bike
Excellent attitude Glen, and quite correct - it is only a bike, a piece of machinery, and (presumably) can be fixed.
It'd be better that it hadn't happened at all, but at least it didn't result in anyone getting hurt (apart from financially ).

Kinda mental though, that a newish, well-maintained chain breaks, when I had some wog brand chain on the FahrtSturm for Bob knows how long (over 18 months at least), and the freakin thing had a clip-type master link as I couldn't get a rivet link for it. And unlike the aforementioned Rebel tossing its clip link, I never had any problems with it (probably because I worried about it enough to ensure it was never going to be an issue... )

The BikerGods sure are sneaky and pernicious bastids....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Shitter luck TS, I know how you feel. I was once riding a bike shops brand spanking 1013 km GSX250 and I managed to send a conrod through the front of the head. That didnt half suck, but then again I was pretty stoked to walk away after the way it tried to throw me over the bars.

Dont give it up man, I've had some shocking weeks/months and thought about chucking it in, but have stuck it through, and life wouldnt be the same without a two wheeled fun machine of some description.

Failing that, go get blind drunk
