Woah time flies when ya having fun.

Just realised it is 3 years to the day since i started riding.

Crazy really, to think of all the fun, the time with mates, the oh shit moments, the sliding down the road on my arse at 80kph...

the time in hospital, surgery, casts etc etc.

Ah well the good far outweighs the bad, many years more fun yet to come

I think i will have a drink tonight to tribute that.

The friends i have made, the friends i have tragically lost.

It's been a full packed 3 years, of love, learning, and loss, and i am a better man for it.

If anything bikes turned me into a man.

    Skid.

3 years............fuck me you have reminded me of how old i am (as many things do at my age)lol.I recently was at a piss up with a few mates and we got talking to a few non riding guys, during the night some of our offs were talked about and a guy asked me "why do you still do it at your age knowing the outcome of someones mistake" i replied simply "because when i pack the bike up and head off within a few kms i always am reminded that nothing else makes me feel so good as this".And i truly mean nothing.

    True.

A nice day, a bike running well and a good road = miles of smiles.

    It's good therapy.

I think alot of us have the same problem. As soon as voice an opinion to what has been said some PC tree hugging, possum kissing moron gets upset. Makes me think that some people are on this sie, but not actually a rider at heart.
Its interesting. When I look back over my 26 years of riding it just makes me smile and sad that I cannot do it anymore. I certianly don't want to blowarse on about it, online or not. But we all know that SM likes to be the center of attention.

Mark, why don't you use some of the sensibilities that come with being a (self-proclaimed) man, and take the high road.

    Man I must be a serious dumb-shit.

Skiddy has been riding for 3 years and knows everything.

I've been riding for 27 and I still learn things.

A fine idea to celebrate young man - here's to another 30 plus for you as well

LOL nope definately don't know everything buddy.

Yeah many more years to come, andi know i have barely scraped the surface, most of my riding is 250's and lets face it, they are kiddy toys...

Big bikes, well hell thats going to a hell of i think to get the hang of, only just unleashed the potential of 250's.

But yeah, you never stop learning on a motorbike, discovered that long ago.

    Ride safe bro.

Until then, you might as well get used to that target on your back (and front), it's going to get alot of attention.

    Yeah, okay.

I am safe around other riders, just what they see as safe as i do is not one in the same, i know my limits i stick to them.

I could rip into you right now as there are so many ways to at my disposal at this moment, but for your well written non abusive post, i will respect your opinion which you are entitled to.

    Ride safe mate.
