bike went into shop yesterday should be back next week and ready to roll.
when she get's back i'll take her out for a day ride to see how she run's.
might do a run around all the waikato wreckers to try and find a rack, would be interesting to find how the old girl will do on the gas/ltrs per 100klm as she's got a bloody small tank. when i can sus out a rack i'll strap a 10ltr on her for the longer trips.
it's gona take a while for me to get all the gear and get her up to a standard i'd be more comfortable with,
    but she'll do for now.

bugga she was ment to be back for a ride this weekend but she failed the WOF, bloody swingarm and rear wheel bearing's.
oh well i'll just have to wait another week, she's in the shop so i'll let the mechanic get it sorted.
man i've got itchy feet, my arse is getting soft sitting at this computer all the time when i should be out riding.

    manual

Try this dude " if you hav'nt yet" he may have a reproduction of your model. He has one for the the 1980 DR400T and S.

I have a DR400T with all the NOS bits ready to rebuild took me ages to get all those NOS bits. I love riding the old girl nice and lite compared to my
    TT500's

    Good luck with the rebuild.

she's been out of the shop for two weeks now. i've done the kawhia trip and a few runs around town and she went absolutely farkin awesome.
only prob is she dont hold much fuel, i carried a 5ltr fuel can on the back but thats just taking up much needed room so if anyone knows of an aftermarket over sized tank that will fit the ole girl give me a yell.

Bought another ride to cope with the gear and some 2 up riding so now the old girls up for sale, seeing how i borrowed the $$$$ for the new bike the misses wants the old one sold to help get the loan down a little quicker.
sad to see her go but the timings all wrong for a restore project, maybe pick one up at a later stage.
